The Exmouth RNLI have given notice of cancellation of their AGM for 2020 due to Coronavirus restrictions.
After careful consideration, speaking to the national RNLI and reviewing the charity commissions guidance, the lifesaving charity have decided to cancel their Annual General Meeting for 2020 and reorganise a date when it is safe to do so.
This is due to the viability of being able to hold the meeting via another means and the safety of supporters.
The volunteers will be working on the AGM for 2021 as soon government guidance permits and look forward to meeting with their loyal and generous supporters in a more positive 2021.
Chair of the Exmouth RNLI Lifeboat Management Group, Simon Davidson, said: “Its been a difficult year for all of us and cancelling our 2020 Annual General Meeting is just another, albeit necessary, restriction on our charity’s operation. We are all looking forward to getting back to normal as soon as we are able next year. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our Exmouth RNLI crew, shop staff, visits guides, fundraisers, other volunteers and our many loyal and generous supporters a very Happy Christmas and a safe, healthy and peaceful 2021.”
Details of a future date and location for the Annual General Meeting will be published in due course.
