Fire crews called to fire on beach started deliberately

Fire crews in Teignmouth were called to reports of a fire on a beach yesterday, 25th February.

One fire engine was mobilised to the incident at around 6.30pm.

Crews found a small fire on Teignmouth beach near to the promenade that had been started deliberately by persons unknown.

Crews extinguished the fire and returned to the station.
