Fire crews were called to a property in Babbacombe, Torquay yesterday evening.
The fire service were called to reports of a fire on Babbacombe Road at 7.18pm
One fire appliance from Torquay and one fire appliance from Paignton were mobilised.
A spokesperson for the fire service said:
“Upon arrival, crews confirmed a fire in the kitchen of the ground floor flat which was smoke logged and crews used 2 breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.”
