The fire service were called to reports of a fire at The Drum Inn in Cockington, Torquay this afternoon.
Two fire appliances attended the scene at around 2.40pm.
The road was blocked temporarily whilst firefighters dealt with the incident.
The Drum Inn has closed for the rest of the day following the fire.
A spokesperson for The Drum Inn said on their Facebook page:

Sorry to inform everyone but unfortunately due to a fire we are having to close the pub for the rest of today.
The fire is out and all team and customers are safe.
