Fire crews were called to a reports of a fire at a house in Torquay in the early hours of this morning.
The fire service said the call came from the occupant and it was unclear at the time of the call, where the fire was.
Two fire engines, one from Torquay and one from Paignton were mobilised to the incident at Edinburgh Villas, Upton at around 12.30am.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “Shortly after arriving and investigating, with 2 BA wearers and 1 hose reel jet, we located the fire, in a second floor bedroom of the 3 storey privately rented end terrace house, and confirmed that all persons were accounted for,”
The fire was brought under control and extinguished.
The fire service stated
“As a precaution a fire appliance will be carrying out a reinspection at around 0900hrs this morning and fire investigation will also commence in daylight hours, as the cause has yet to be established,”
There were no casualties.
