Fire crews are tackling a fire at a commercial building in Plymouth this morning.
The fire service was called to reports of a fire at Malvern Tyres, Richmond Walk, Plymouth at 4.37am.
2 fire appliances were mobilised initially but, due to rapid fire spread, the attendance was quickly increased shortly after to 6 fire appliances from Greenbank, Camels Head, Plymstock, Crownhill and Plympton, together with an Aerial Ladder Platform from Crownhill, an Incident Command Unit from Totnes and Environmental Protection Unit from Newton Abbot.

People in the area have said they have been told to keep their windows shut.

Richmond Walk is currently closed, diversions are in place.
