On Saturday, June 1st, fourteen service providers from Friends Helping at Home completed a heart-stopping 15,000 ft skydive to raise funds for Rowcroft Hospice. The team is proud to announce that they have raised an impressive £6,425, exceeding their initial goal of £5,000.
The skydive, featuring a 60-second freefall, was undertaken by the Friends Helping at Home Community to support Rowcroft Hospice, a vital organisation providing care and support for individuals with life-limiting illnesses. The event was marked by a sense of camaraderie, bravery, and a shared commitment to making a difference.
“We are incredibly proud of our service providers and their remarkable achievement,” said Emily Merry, Office Manager at Friends Helping at Home. “Their bravery and determination have not only raised much-needed funds for Rowcroft Hospice but also highlighted the spirit of our community.”
Special thanks go to the team at SkyBuzz for ensuring a safe and exhilarating experience, and to Hayley from Rowcroft Hospice for her unwavering support and enthusiasm. Hayley was present on the day, bringing along games, t-shirts, and much-needed post-jump Haribo to help the team recover from the adrenaline rush.
The funds raised will support Rowcroft Hospice in continuing their essential work, providing compassionate care and support to those in need. Friends Helping at Home extends their gratitude to everyone who donated and supported the event.
