As the festive season approaches, Rowcroft Hospice is delighted to be part of the Charity Retail Association’s Good Cause Santa Claus campaign, offering a thoughtful and ecoconscious way to shop for Christmas presents this year. Whether you’re searching for fun stocking fillers or luxurious gifts, Rowcroft’s charity shops provide a treasure trove of affordable, pre-loved items, all while helping to support your local hospice to care for people with life-limiting illnesses in South Devon.
“Christmas doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag and it doesn’t have to cost the earth either,” says Caroline Wannell, Rowcroft Hospice’s Head of Retail. “Our charity shops are bursting with wonderful and unique items – from designer clothing, stunning jewellery and cosy winter accessories to stylish homeware and fantastic books – all at a fraction of their original cost.”
Every pound spent at Rowcroft’s shops goes directly towards providing specialist care for patients and their loved ones in need this Christmas. For example, an £8 purchase could pay for three delicious healthy meals for a patient in Rowcroft’s Inpatient Unit; a £17 purchase could pay for a bereaved family to receive a memory box – to fill with keepsakes and mementos that bring back fond memories of special times with their loved one; and a £27 purchase could pay for an hour of care for a patient with complex needs in Rowcroft’s specialist Inpatient Unit.
In addition to a wonderful selection of pre-loved items, Rowcroft offers the Rowcroft Gift Card in a choice of denominations. The Gift Card is an ideal Christmas present, promoting sustainable shopping while also inviting recipients to choose their own unique gems from any of Rowcroft’s shops.
