Update: Jamie has been found safe and well.

Police have appealed to the public to help them locate a missing man from Newton Abbot.

Police say are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Jamie Jones, 30.

Jamie was reported missing to police at around 1pm today [2 April]. He is believed to be travelling on foot.

Units including the police helicopter are carrying out area searches and enquiries in efforts to locate Jamie.

He is described as a white male of average build. He was last seen wearing a black zip jacket, blue jeans and black trainers. He has a shaved head and is cleanly shaven.

Anyone who sees Jamie or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 999 quoting log 272 of 2 April.
