One lucky winner has won two helicopter flights as part of a competition for Torbay Airshow which is taking place on Friday 10, Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 June on Paignton Green.
Natasha Hope-Brown, from Torquay, will take to the air in a helicopter to view some of the finest sights that the English Riviera has to offer. Her ride will see her travelling six miles across the Bay.
Delighted with her competition win, Natasha said: “I am really excited to have won the helicopter ride as part of the Torbay Airshow competition. It was a real surprise and I never expected to win, especially as so many people had entered. I can’t wait to see Torbay from a different perspective.”

Torbay Airshow is a FREE event and activities will run from Friday, 2pm to 10pm, Saturday 10am to 10pm, and Sunday 10am to 6pm. It is estimated that 150,000 visitors will attend the event over the weekend.
Evening aerial displays are planned for Friday 10 June with a VIP launch. Land based activities will include a large event village on Paignton Green with entertainment, fair rides, bars and catering. There will also be enclosures such as VIP, Hurricane Hangout and Family Fly By areas, for which tickets are currently being sold.
A leading Airshow consultant has been recruited to book the air displays and there may be opportunities to meet pilots on the ground. It is planned that the Torbay Airshow will be an annual event.

Torbay’s Elected Mayor, Gordon Oliver, said: “The Torbay Airshow promises to be a memorable event – the likes of which have never been seen here before. The event will bring a substantial economic boost for the Bay and is just the type of free family event we want here.”
Executive Lead for Tourism, Culture and Harbours, Cllr Nicole Amil, said: “Our Bay is such a beautiful coastal location with great facilities which lend themselves perfectly to an airshow. Airshows currently taking place at seaside locations such as Bournemouth are proving extremely successful and it will be great to host such a large event which will benefit both residents and visitors.”
The Coastal Communities Fund has provided a start up grant to part fund the cost of the airshow.
