Police have warned the public to be extra vigilant after a burglary in Buckfastleigh on Wednesday, 23rd November.
Thieves stole £2500 worth of sentimental jewellery and a £300 GPS cycling computer.
Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson for Ashburton and Chudleigh Policing area – Teignbridge said:
“The Neighbourhood team wish to make the community of Buckfastleigh and surrounding areas aware of a burglary on Crest Hill, Buckfastleigh.
“The offenders smashed a pane of glass in the back door and reached in to grab the door keys. They stole
This incident happened on Wednesday 23rd November between 14:00 and 18:00 crime number CR/083057/16.
“Recently there have also been incidents reported to the Police in the area of Crest Hill including criminal damage and thefts from motor vehicles. Please can residents be extra vigilant and ensure they take belongings out of vehicles and secure vehicles and homes ensuring they don’t leave keys near doors.
