The passenger of the car remains in hospital with serious injuries.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Team attended the scene and are still appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision.

Sgt Nigel Cox said: “We are interested in speaking to the driver of a car heading in the direction of Trago Mills who saw the tractor emerging from the gateway prior to it colliding with the Mercedes”

“We are also keen on speaking to anyone who saw the tractor prior to the incident who hasn’t yet spoken to police already.

“Anyone who may have dash-cam footage is also asked to contact police via 101@dc.police.uk or by calling 101 quoting the log number 425 of 26/07/20.”
