Key workers in the South West can now receive a deposit contribution of up to £15,000 towards a new home with the launch of David Wilson Homes’ new Key Worker Deposit Contribution scheme.
Key workers will be entitled to a deposit contribution of £750 for every £25,000 spent and can receive up to the value of £15,000. So, for example, when purchasing a £300,000 home, Barratt Homes would contribute £9,000 towards the deposit.
Nick Reid, Sales Director for David Wilson Homes Exeter says: “David Wilson Homes has introduced the scheme to say thank you to key workers for their enormous contribution to the country. The new scheme will cover key workers from the NHS, teachers, police and fire services, the MOD, prison and probation services, plus Local Authority employees and Highways England. “At the start of the pandemic we launched a NHS Deposit Contribution scheme, but we now want to open this up to every key worker in the country as a thank you for all their work.”
Construction of the 90 new high-quality homes at Hampton Mill, Crediton Road, Okehampton is building momentum. David Wilson Homes’ sales office has recently opened and the show home is expected to open early next year.
Nicki added: “We’re very encouraged by the level of interest there has been in this development. The launch of our sales office is an important milestone for Hampton Mill as we are one step closer to welcoming the first residents.”
Hampton Mill offers an exciting range of three and four bedroom homes on the edge of Okehampton. There is plenty of open space, play area and stunning nearby nature trails. Hampton Mill is only stone’s throw away from Dartmoor National Park and only a 30 minute commute to Exeter. David Wilson Homes will contribute over £500,000 to the community and plans to install electric car charging points, plant over 100 new trees and 11,000 saplings for hedgerows as well as much more.
