Cabinet Member for Infrastructure, Environment and Culture, Cllr Mike Morey, said: “We always welcome the opportunity to host events at Torre Abbey as part of the International Agatha Christie Festival. In addition to the wonderful exhibition, which features Agatha’s typewriter, there are two other great events taking place which will be celebrating her legacy.

On Saturday afternoon, Come Dance with Me, hosted by Dance in Devon will be taking place in the Spanish Barn. This family friendly event features live music, dancing and a cream tea, with a few surprises along the way from a community cast of dancers from age 9 to 90!

There is a special offer of two tickets for Come Dance with Me for only £10. Under 16s go free and booking is essential. To book tickets, click here https://www.torre-abbey.org.uk/whats-on/iacf-presents-come-dance-with-me/

Also on Saturday, Jo Lumber and Connie Crosby from The Writer’s Block will be undertaking a Story Adventure created especially for the festival. The Story Adventurers take a well-known story and let it run loose in different directions. Bring your ideas and imagination, use detective skills to help solve puzzles and crack clues – there is lots of fun to be had playing with words, characters and storyline.

There are two adventures, one is aimed at younger children and the other at older children. Under 16s can take part for free, adults pay £8, which allows entrance to the house and Gardens, Find out more here https://www.torre-abbey.org.uk/whats-on/the-international-agatha-christie-festival-presents-the-story-adventurers/
