Lifeworks Learning Disability Charity are delighted to announce that they have been recognised as a Disability Confident Leader 3 Award for another three years.
Amanda Gavin, Head of HR at Lifeworks said “Our renewal of the award is great acknowledgement of our ongoing work to promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and equity. We’re extremely proud to be recognised as a Disability Confident Leader for another three years. We will continue to work towards Lifeworks being a place where people feel proud to work, everyone has a sense of belonging and feels supported to achieve their aspirations regardless of their background.”
You can see from the smiles on all their faces that Amanda, her colleague Phil and their new volunteers, working within Lifeworks Community are absolutely thrilled.Disability Confident is creating a movement of change, encouraging employers to think differently about disability and take action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled people. Being Disability Confident is a unique opportunity to lead the way in our community. It was developed by employers and disabled people’s representatives to make it rigorous but easily accessible, particularly for smaller businesses.
