Job seekers can meet with Torbay and South Devon employers, who are actively recruiting, at a Jobs Fair in Torquay on Friday 4 March.
This free event will take place in Torquay’s Town Hall Assembly Rooms from 10am to 3pm, providing job seekers the opportunity to meet with over 50 local employers.
The fair, which is sponsored by TUC Union Learn and delivered by TDA and Jobcentre Plus in partnership, conveniently brings a range of employers from across Torbay and South Devon together in one space.
Torbay’s Elected Mayor, Gordon Oliver, said: “This event can match job vacancies with skills and provide an excellent platform for job seekers to find employment. Torbay and South Devon offers a fantastic range of opportunities from tourism to construction, with seasonal, permanent, apprenticeship and graduate roles available. I would urge anybody looking for a job or a change of career to attend this event.”
Debbie Passmore, Partnership Executive at the TDA, said: “We have had great interest from employers across the region and look forward to hosting an event with a diverse range of employment opportunities. Getting to meet the employers face to face to discuss the roles available and its suitability for the individual provides a real advantage to getting the right job.”
Job seekers that wish to attend the event can just turn up on the day. For more information please call Marzenna Seares at Jobcentre Plus on 01803 356184.
