Love is in the air at Cockington Court

On Sunday 26 February, Cockington Court is holding a Wedding Showcase to invite people to view their wedding rooms and the specialist services their crafts makers and local suppliers can offer.

Marissa Wakefield, Cockington Court Craft Centre Director, said: “We love having weddings here at Cockington Court. It brings an eloquent vibrancy to the venue and each one is so unique. A lot of the weddings simply enjoy the gorgeous, scenic environment the Court naturally offers.

“To make the day even more memorable, Cockington craft makers can create bespoke wedding gifts, favours, cards, cakes and jewellery. We can cater for any occasion, big or small, and our rooms can be dressed and personalised to create the perfect setting for the special day.”

The ceremony room is situated on the first floor of the Grade II listed Manor House, which is set in 460 acres of stunning parklands, gardens and water-meadows. The stunning grounds to the rear of the Court provide a beautiful and unique spot for photographs. These are just a couple of reasons why it’s such a popular choice of venue.

The Cary Room accommodates up to 55 guests for wedding ceremonies and special celebrations and is licensed to hold civil ceremonies. The team at Cockington Court are working hard with partners to provide other services in 2017 to make the day even more special.

Marissa continued: “Having experienced so many beautiful weddings here we have a good understanding of the fantastic services local businesses can offer to enhance the weddings. From dressing the room to bespoke flowers and cakes, we have been speaking with local suppliers to offer a range of tailor made options for our wedding guests.”

With bespoke catering available from the Tea Rooms, the couple and their honoured guests can enjoy canapés, drinks, a wedding breakfast, and more, all in one stunning location.

Continuing with the subject of love, why not head along to Cockington Court and take part in the Valentines Heart Trail. Suitable for all ages, the trail takes you around the Court searching for beautiful love hearts. It costs £1 per child aged over two, and each child will receive a treat on completion of the trail.

Cockington Court is also running a parking promotion every weekend in February. For £1 you can park for up to three hours in the Court car park, allowing you more time to browse the studios, have a bite to eat in the Tea Rooms, explore the grounds and enjoy the events.
