Man airlifted to hospital following cliff fall

Emergency services were called to reports of a man with a head injury following a cliff fall in Torquay this afternoon, Tuesday 19th February.

Paramedics, Torbay Coastguard and Devon Air Ambulance attended the incident at Ansteys cove at around 12.30pm

Torbay Coastguard said on Facebook:
“We were tasked by Maritime and Coastguard Agency to assist South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust with a cliff faller at Anstey’s Cove. Team members made their way over to assist paramedics on Redgate Beach where a male was being treated for a head injury. The casualty was air lifted to Derriford Hospital by Devon Air Ambulance Trust.”
