Man airlifted to hospital following collision in Torquay

A man has been airlifted to hospital following a collision in Torquay in the early hours of this morning, Sunday 21 February.

The single vehicle collision, involving a 2013 Silver BMW 3 series saloon happened just before 1am on The Kings Drive.

Police, fire crews and the ambulance service attended the scene.

The driver sustained life threatening injuries and was flown by air ambulance to Derriford Hospital.

The front seat passenger sustained minor injuries.

The road was closed whilst forensic investigation took place.

Any persons who witnessed the collision or has information regarding it – in particular any Dashcam footage are asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police on tel: 101 quoting log number 28 of the 21st February 2021.
