A man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after a stabbing in Paignton on Friday.
Police were called to The Cork and Bottle pub in Paignton on Friday 13th to reports of a stabbing.
Two males were injured and taken to Torbay hospital, one needed emergency surgery.
Both of the victims have since been released from hospital.
Officers arrested one male at the scene who has since been charged with two counts of Attempt Murder and will attend Torbay Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:
“Devon and Cornwall Police would like to reassure members of the public that although this was a very serious incident it was one individual acting alone and in isolation, we would also like to take this opportunity to praise the staff and customers of the Cork and Bottle for their actions in disarming the male and detaining him until the police arrived.”
