A 53-year-old man has been charged with the attempted murder of two Devon and Cornwall police officers in Kingsbridge.
Stephen Yabsley, of Retreat Close, Kingsbridge, is due to appear before Torquay Magistrates’ Court today charged with the attempted murder of the two officers during an incident in the town on Wednesday 13 May.
Two male officers sustained serious arm injuries during the incident and are recovering in hospital.
Yabsley is further charged with common assault and a public order offence, and remains in custody pending his court appearance.
