Man charged with manslaughter following death at farm

A man has been charged in connection with the death of a 20-year-old woman at a farm in Dawlish last year.

Lauren Scott tragically died at Springfield Farm in Dawlish, on Saturday 4th March 2017.

Lauren died following an incident involving farm machinery whilst working at the farm. 

Neil Carpenter, aged 44 of Firbank Road, Dawlish, has been charged with manslaughter. He also faces a further charge of failing to comply with health and safety regulations following the death of miss Scott.

Carpenter appeared before Newton Abbot Magistrates on Wednesday 3 January, he spoke only to confirm his name, age and address. He is due before Exeter Crown Court on Friday 2 February.
