Man hit by train in Starcross

Man in hospital following Torquay stabbing 

A man was hit by a train in Starcross this morning.

The incident happened at around 7.30am this morning. Replacement buses were brought in to run between Exeter and Newton Abbot/Plymouth. The line has since reopened.

Police, British Transport Police, fire crews and ambulance crews attended the scene. It is understood the man suffered from serious injuries. The man was taken to hospital where his current condition is unknown.
