A man has been left with serious injuries following a crash in Dawlish yesterday, Monday 30th July.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Luscombe Hill at 11am to reports of a car that had collided with a tree.
The driver and only occupant, a 34-year-old man from Teignmouth was cut free from the vehicle by the fire service and was airlifted to Derriford hospital where he remains with potentially life-changing injuries.
The road was closed for three hours while the man was extracted from the car and for an examination of the scene.
Exeter Roads Policing Team are investigating and appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them. Officers are also keen to hear from anyone who saw the silver Mini travelling west towards the B3192 prior to the incident.
