Police have appealed for information following a serious assault in Newton Abbot last month.
The incident happened at around 3am on Saturday 29 April outside a Bar 7 on Market Street.
The two men involved were not known to one another.
Police state that following an altercation, one of the men bit the top of the other man’s ear off resulting in it becoming detached.
The victim, who is in his 50s, was taken to hospital.
A 25-year-old man from Sidmouth was arrested on suspicion of assault and affray and is currently on police bail until 18th July.
