‘Meet the Makers’ Summer Open Event at Cockington Court this July

On Thursday 14 July, between 2pm-7pm, Cockington Court’s makers will be welcoming local residents and visitors to a Summer 2022 ‘Meet the Makers’ Open Evening.

The popular ‘Meet the Makers’ event is a chance to meet all of our talented makers at Cockington Court and provides the opportunity for local people to be inspired by how much Cockington Court has to offer. The court’s creative community boasts skilled craft makers, who create stunning works of art from their studios. The open event is a chance to get involved and learn more about each craft.

There are plenty of activities on offer, suitable for all ages and interests. There will be children’s face painting, a BBQ served by The Seven Dials cafe, music from local musicians, and some incredible raffle prizes. The raffle will be raising funds to support Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust and one lucky winner will win a prize from each of our lovely craft makers.

There will also be the chance to sample the Cockingtail! A brand-new summer cocktail created by Yarde Cider and Torbay Gin – both local makers with studios at the Court.

Marissa Wakefield Centre Director said: “We are inviting everyone to pop down and meet our studio makers and join in with the fun activities that they have planned. Come along and meet our talented local craft makers and learn more about their incredible skills.”

To find out more about the activities planned, the special offers available and the raffle prizes up for grabs, visit the website or Cockington Court social pages.
