Live Nation, DF Concerts and leading live music and event promoter Cuffe & Taylor today announced that it is bringing Scotland’s long-running live music series ‘Summer Sessions’ to five new destinations in England and Wales in 2024. The expansion will see Summer Sessions events take place in Bedford, Chepstow, Derby, Plymouth and Southampton for the very first time and the first headliners have already been revealed as Nile Rodgers & CHIC (playing Bedford and Southampton) and Jess Glynne (playing Bedford). Summer Sessions will also return to Edinburgh and Glasgow in 2024, with more cities to be announced soon. Founded back in 2013 by DF Concerts, Summer Sessions has become a much-loved and highly anticipated live music series in Scotland with events taking place across the country, including Glasgow and Edinburgh. Renowned for regularly showcasing a diverse roster of world-leading talent, previous headliners include Eminem, Foo Fighters, Kendrick Lamar, Florence + The Machine and David Guetta.

Summer Sessions will take place for the very first time in 2024 in the following towns and cities across England and Wales:
BEDFORD SUMMER SESSIONS: Bedford Park
For 2024, Bedford Park Concerts will be transformed into Bedford Summer Sessions. The first headliners have already been revealed as Nile Rodgers & CHIC (7 July 2024) and Jess Glynne (28 June 2024). The Victorian green space of Bedford Park, boasts a rich history of over 25 years, playing host to a diverse array of world-renowned artists, such as Sting, Rita Ora, and Bedford’s own hometown star Tom Grennan.
CHEPSTOW SUMMER SESSIONS: Chepstow Racecourse
Situated in the scenic Wye Valley, against a backdrop of lush, wooded hills, Chepstow Racecourse, one of the UK’s premier racecourses, played host to Cuffe and Taylor shows for the first time in 2023, captivating 30,000 music enthusiasts. The series featured sold-out headline concerts by George Ezra and Lionel Richie. These remarkable events will now be celebrated under the banner of Chepstow Summer Sessions.
DERBY SUMMER SESSIONS: Markeaton Park
Markeaton Park, the city’s most-visited outdoor destination, will host the first-ever Summer Sessions for Derby. With its great transport links, proximity to the University of Derby, and serene character, this idyllic setting promises to create an unforgettable experience for 15,000 music lovers and artists alike next summer at the debut of Derby Summer Sessions.
PLYMOUTH SUMMER SESSIONS: The Hoe
With a spectacular waterfront setting and home to the landmark Smeaton’s Tower Lighthouse, The Hoe will come alive with music as it welcomes 15,000 fans to the first-ever Plymouth Summer Sessions next year. This dynamic location already hosts a variety of year-round events like the British Firework Championships and Plymouth Armed Forces Day, and will transform in summer 2024 to deliver world-class music, further enriching Plymouth’s vibrant atmosphere.
SOUTHAMPTON SUMMER SESSIONS: Guildhall Square
Guildhall Square, renowned as Southampton’s Cultural Quarter, will be an electrifying live music destination in 2024, hosting the first Southampton Summer Sessions. The event’s first announced headline act, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, is set to dazzle the city on Sunday, 23 June 2024, accompanied by the talents of Sophie Ellis-Bextor and DECO.

GLASGOW SUMMER SESSIONS: Bellahouston Park
As the founding city for Summer Sessions, we’re delighted to confirm that Glasgow Summer Sessions will make a return to Bellahouston Park in 2024 after a brief hiatus. Having hosted world renowned acts such as Eminem, The Cure, David Guetta, Calvin Harris and many more, fans can expect to see huge names in 2024.
EDINBURGH SUMMER SESSIONS: Royal Highland Showgrounds
Having joined the Summer Sessions family in 2018, Edinburgh Summer Sessions will now take place at the Royal Highland Showgrounds. Having previously played host to Connect Festival, Paolo Nutini and The Killers to huge acclaim in 2023, Royal Highland Showgrounds offers a fantastic event space, unbeatable public transport links and space for growth.
