New food and music festival coming to Torbay

A new food and music festival is coming to Torbay in 2023. The festival, which will be held at Torre Abbey Meadows in May will feature the UK’s much-celebrated reggae-pop band UB40, who will take to the stage on Saturday, 27th May 2023.

Celebrating the best of the Southwest, The English Riviera Food & Music Festival Friday 26 – Monday 29 May 2023, is a brand-new four-day food and music event, in the heart of Torbay, showcasing the region’s finest food, restaurants and chefs, alongside an amazing line-up of the UK’s best music acts.

Over four days guests will be able enjoy an eclectic mix of tasty dishes and high-quality local produce at the Daily Food Market, see talented chefs cook up a storm live on stage, enjoy performances and interactive activities designed especially for kids and families and top it all off with an incredible Main Stage line up from local talent, through to some of the UK’s most well-known headline acts.

Celebrating a landmark 45 years in 2023, UB40 will be releasing their hugely anticipated upcoming album UB45, due for release in the Spring. Founder members Robin Campbell, Jimmy Brown, Earl Falconer, Norman Hassan, long-time members Martin Meredith, Laurence Parry and Tony Mullings, and Lead Vocalist Matt Doyle will perform new tracks alongside the band’s timeless classics and greatest hits.

Situated directly on the seafront overlooking Torquay’s sandy beaches, Torre Abbey Meadows is a beautiful place to come together and enjoy the region’s delicious delicacies alongside incredible entertainment for all the family.

People can register their interest for the festival now on their website and if they sign up before 31 December 2022 they will be entered into a prize draw to win a weekend ticket to the festival. More headline artists, chefs and exciting news will be announced in January 2023 on their website and social media. Tickets will go on sale in January 2023 too.
