Local band 3 Days of Wonder are taking the South West by storm, pulling off impressive performances at great Devon venues including Exeter Phoenix and Powderham Castle. They recently took their talents out of county, appearing at The Fleece in Bristol for the first time, following in the footsteps of big names such as Oasis, Muse and Amy Winehouse.
The band was formed in May 2023 and released two EPs last year, with their debut tracks receiving radio play on several stations including South Devon Radio, Phonic FM and Future Hits, as well as US station, HotWax. They have been featured in several radio interviews and were delighted to win the award for Best Newcomer 2023 on Smart Radio 101.
3 Days of Wonder have several big gigs coming up over the summer, with festivals such as Tunes on the Sands, Tunes in the Park and the Little Orchard Festival, as well as performances to look out for at Dawlish Carnival, Kingsteignton’s Ramfest and events at Exeter Phoenix.
Lead singer, Luke Notman, says: “We think it’s so important to deliver a strong message through our original music, we all believe music has the potential to reach people in a powerful way and connecting with our audiences matters to us more than anything.”
Lead guitarist, Finn Arnold, says his highlight so far has been playing at The Fleece in Bristol: “The atmosphere was incredible, and it was amazing to play on the same stage as musical legends like Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age!”
Drummer, Sam Rew and Bassist, Ben Bracey, complete the lineup with their tight rhythms and flawless skill and the band are on track to release new original songs this summer. Their forthcoming single, Smile, has been in the pipeline while the boys have focused on their exams and will be promoted during summer shows.
The band combines dynamic frontman energy with real musical talent and their originals are outstanding in their themes and musicality, evoking anthemic sounds reminiscent of the 80s and 90s. The band members all contribute to song writing and between them have a range of impressive musical accolades including Grade 8 singing and instrumental awards. The band are endorsed by Deepset Guitars, with Finn playing his impressive solos on a unique, hand-built guitar.
3 Days of Wonder have already caught the eyes of several local producers and agents and are excited to take their music to the next level.
