Emergency services were called to the terraced property this afternoon to reports of a shed fire.

Initially, two fire appliances were mobilised to the incident, this was upped to 4 as the fire had spread to the building. This has now been upped to 12 as the fire spread tp neighbouring buildings.

No one has been seriously injured.

The fire is on-going and fire crews remain on scene this evening.

Appliances from Torquay, Paignton, Newton Abbot, Teignmouth, Honiton, Bovey Tracey, Ashburton, Dawlish, Chagford and the welfare unit from Crediton have attended.

The area is cordoned off and the road is closed to pedestrians and traffic from Forest Road to Chatto Road. Traffic is coping well.
