A brand new record shop has opened up in the heart of Teignmouth town centre today. The Sound Preservation Society Records is tucked away on Fore Street and offers a great selection of used records, a selection of new independent releases, booths to listen to your favourite tracks, and a whole load of personality and charm. Owner Harry Mathew Key promises “there’ll be something for everyone, whether you’re an avid collector, just starting a collection or down to your last pound, we will have you leaving happy”. The store will also deal with buying and trading records and plans to support the music community, particularly local bands and acts.
For the grand opening, local band Moriarty will be playing in the store at 3PM. Due to space restrictions, only about 25 people will be able to fit in the store, so if you want to nab yourself a place then be sure to get there early!
