Newton Abbot man seriously injured in collision

A motorcyclist from Newton Abbot has been seriously injured in a collision between Atherington and Torrington.

​The collision between a motorcycle and Mercedes happened on 28th August at 10.30am on the B3227.

The motorcyclist, a 55 year old man sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital.

The driver of the Mercedes, a man in his 60s, and two other occupants of the car were uninjured in the incident.

The road was closed for around five and a half hours while local officers, the Roads Policing Team and the Serious Collison Investigation Unit attended the Scene.
