Children will be the focus of Torbay Council’s next residents’ engagement event later this month.
It will be held on Friday 26 April outside Tesco Express in Fore Street, Brixham, from 10am to 4pm.
It’s the first such event to be held in the town and all are welcome to attend.
The bi-monthly events are a chance for residents to meet councillors (of all parties) and council staff to talk about what matters to them.
They also help capture thoughts and feedback on consultations, changes to policies and services.
There will be representatives available from the SEND team, Family Hubs and fostering.
Councillor Nick Bye, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, said: “We’d encourage anyone who is free to come along and speak to us.
“We’d particularly be keen to talk to parents and carers about issues relating to children and young people.
“We have three Family Hubs across Torbay and representatives will be there to talk about the services that the hubs can offer families.
“Our SEND team will be visible as they’ll be bringing along their branded van, which was a bit hit when it visited schools last year as part of our roadshow about our Graduated Response toolkits, designed to support children with additional needs.
“And if you’re curious about becoming a foster carer, drop by and chat to the fostering team who will be on hand to answer your questions.”
