Love your High Street is back this June and in honour of Torbay’s local retailers, we are looking to find the ultimate High Street Hero.
Love your High Street are looking for a person or business that really make a difference to your shopping experience.
Liz Edwards, Senior Business Advisor and project lead, said: “Following the success of the Love your High Street campaign, with a great number of local retailers showing their support, we want to recognise the people and businesses that make Torbay great. If you know a person or business that goes the extra mile, always put a smile on your face or offers exceptional customer service, then these are just some of the reasons why you might put your Hero forward.”
There are no limits to the number of people or businesses that can be nominated, although the business must be based in Torbay. The deadline for nominations is Monday 29 May.
To nominate your High Street Hero go to www.loveyourhighsttorbay.com and fill out a short online form.
Nominations will be shortlisted in early June and the winner will be chosen by an independent panel.
Love your High Street week is a campaign delivered by TDA which encourages local people to shop more frequently in local shops around the Bay and helps spread the message about why spending locally is so important.
Over 100 retailers have already signed up to be part of Love your High Street.
Lyn Grant, who has joined the campaign with her business Cloudberry Lily, said: “This kind of initiative is a fantastic idea for the independent businesses of Torbay High Streets. It’s simple to do and really captures the spirit of why people should shop locally. There are some fantastic independent businesses across Torbay and I hope they all get involved.”
If you’re an independent high street business and want to register to be part of Love your High Street you can register for free at www.loveyourhighsttorbay.com
Businesses that have already registered do not need to sign up again.
