The NHS in Devon is reminding parents to book flu vaccination appointments for their children, this winter.
Over the past few weeks reported cases of Influenza have risen and this follows the latest report from Public Health England which shows that at the end of November, only 33% of eligible two and three years had been vaccinated.
Devon parents, Louise and Jamie are once again supporting the take-up campaign to encourage parents to vaccinate their children. Their involvement follows the tragic loss of their son Coby, from flu, in 2018.
Community clinics are being scheduled for school age children who missed their initial school appointment for a nasal flu spray. Parents who would like to book a flu vaccination should call 0300 2470082 to arrange an appointment.
In addition, pre-school children and children who are at-risk are also eligible for a free vaccination. Parents should contact their local pharmacy or GP practice for more details.
