Police have appealed for witnesses following a serious collision in Exmouth on Friday 10 January.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a silver Nissan Almera outside Home Bargains in Salterton Road around 2.30pm
The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s from Honiton sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where she remains.
A man in his 50s from Exmouth was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and causing serious injury by careless/inconsiderate driving. He has been released on bail until 2 April pending further enquiries.
Polcie have appealed to the public for witnesses and dashcam footage.
