A local family business and dairy farm is celebrating after a record year with Aldi.
Langage Farm has supplied Aldi stores across the country with yoghurts since 2017, producing around 72,000 units each week for the UK’s fourth largest supermarket.
In 2023, the business supplied its 20 millionth yoghurt to Aldi and launched its Specially Selected Mango and Passionfruit Farmhouse yoghurts in stores, which are already proving popular with customers.
The business was established in 1948 and has seen significant growth over the years, increasing from 90 acres of land and 40 cattle to 400 acres with 265 Pedigree Jersey cows today.
Its ongoing relationship with Aldi has had a significant impact on the business, with the partnership helping the family to increase its workforce and invest in new production lines to meet the demand.
Ben Havery, Partner at Langage Farm, said: “We’re so proud of our partnership with Aldi which has allowed us to grow over the years whilst investing in the areas we’re passionate about – like improving our sustainable practices.
“Continuing our partnership into 2024 and beyond will help us to continue to expand and adapt to market changes and demands, without losing that all important focus on sustainability.”
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, commented: “Langage Farm is a much-valued supplier to Aldi, with their products a firm favourite with our customers.
“At Aldi, we take pride in championing British farming, and Langage Farm is just one example of the brilliant British businesses we support.”
