Plymouth shooting: Suspected gunman named locally as Jake Davison

A man suspected of killing five people in Plymouth yesterday evening has been named locally as Jake Davison.

Three females and three males, including the suspected gunman died in a shooting incident in Plymouth yesterday, Thursday 12 August.

Emergency services were called to reports of a firearms incident in the Keyham area at around 6.10pm

Two males and two females were deceased at the scene on Biddick Drive, another females was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds but later died.

It is also reported locally that a child was one of the victims.

Local MP Luke Pollard tweeted “People are waking up to the grim news that five people and the shooter have died in the keyham shooting. Hearing that one of the dead is a small child is utterly heartbreaking. From 9am today Ford Primary School and local churches will be open as a safe space for the community.”

The area remains cordoned off by the police, with police presence.

Devon & Cornwall Police have stressed this is not a terrorism related incident
and they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
