Police and Coastguard search for missing woman in Babbacombe

Emergency services were involved in a search for a woman in Babbacombe earlier today, 4th February.

Police, coastguard crews from Torbay and Teignmouth, along with the RNLI were at the scene of the search in the Babbacombe area of Torquay at lunchtime.

The search took place over land and sea and involved the police helicopter.

The woman was located by police units.

Posting on Facebook, Torbay Coastguard said: “Full team page from Maritime and Coastguard Agency to assist Devon & Cornwall Police with a search for a missing female between Oddicombe and Babbacombe, Teignmouth coastguard and Teignmouth Lifeboat Station were also paged to assist. The female was located by police units before search teams had been deployed,”
