There is currently a large number of police in the Willows, Torquay.
The police helicopter is also present.
Police are searching from both the air and ground.
Early reports on social media suggest a man has been assaulted.
The incident took place at a close near the Willow tree pub.
People in the pub had been asked by police if they’d seen a “man in a black coat”.
