Police have appealed for witnesses following a street robbery in Torquay.
A 63 year old man was threatened by a man brandishing a knife during the incident on Monday, 31st August between 1pm and 1.10pm .
The victim was approached from behind on Teignmouth Road near the junction with Hartop Road.
The offender asked the victim for his wallet and he was handed some cash before walking off.
The offender is described as white, aged between 35 and 45, 6ft tall, of medium build, with a pale complexion and stubble on his face. He was wearing a dark hooded jacket and dark trousers or jeans.
Detective Constable Grant Pay-Savage, based at Torquay, said: “At that time of day there would have been other people in the Teignmouth Road area and I would be keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.”
