Police appeal for information after teenager sexually assaulted in Dawlish

Police have appealed to the public for information following a sexual assault in Dawlish earlier this month.

The incident happened on Friday 2 August at around 8.30pm.

A teenage girl was sexually assaulted over her clothing by an unknown male. He approached her after she’d left the Boat Cove area and was walking by the viaduct on the sea side of the train tracks.

The suspect is described as a white male, with a dark brown stubbly moustache, approximately 50-years-old, between 5ft 11ins and 6ft tall, wearing all black and a Nike cap. He had a deep voice and was carrying a black manbag.
