Police have appealed for information after a woman was seriously assaulted in Paignton in the early hours of this morning, Friday 28 May.
Emergency services were called to an address on Torquay road just before 1am and found a woman in her 40s with stab wounds. The woman was taken to hospital, where she remains in a serious condition.
A 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in custody.
