Police have appealed for information and witnesses following arson attacks at two barns recently.
A barn at Widdicombe Farm Barn in Compton (near Marldon) was set fire on Tuesday 28th November at around 9pm. The fire cause substantial damaged to the barn and agricultural equipment.
Last night, between Thursday 30th and Friday 1st December, a barn containing hay on Fluder Hill, Kingskerswell was set fire around midnight.
Police think that the Kingskerswell fire could be connected to an incident where a rock was thrown at a car travelling along South Devon Highway more here: https://wearesouthdevon.com/torquay-man-rock-car-bridge/
Police are reminding residents to regularly check their outbuildings and review their security. You can contact your local policing team via the Devon and Cornwall Police website.
Anyone with information or CCTV footage is asked to contact police via 101@dc.police.uk or by calling 101 quoting crime reference number CR/104305/17 (Kingskerswell) or CR/103949/17 (Compton).
