Police appeal for witnesses after man dies on bus

Police have appealed for witnesses after a man died following an incident on a bus yesterday, Friday 7th June.

Police were alerted by the ambulance service at 2.14pm regarding a member of the public in cardiac arrest on a double decker bus on the A383 Newton Road, Newton Abbot.

A male passenger was flown to Derriford Hospital but sadly died a short time later.

Specialist officers from the Devon and Cornwall’s Alliance Roads Policing Team attended along with a Forensic Collision Investigator and Scene of Crime Officer.

A full investigation of the scene took place and officers are working to establish the cause of this incident.

Police would like to thank the public for their patience while they investigated the scene.

Police are appealing for any passengers or witnesses to this incident to telephone 101 quoting Log 444 07/06/19.
