Police appeal for witnesses following assault in Exeter

Fatalities reported in major incident in Plymouth

Police have appealed for witnesses following two unprovoked assaults on the same person in Exeter earlier this month.

Both incidents happened in Exeter city centre in the early hours of Monday 1st November.

The male victim was punched in the face after a group of men queing to enter Vaults nightclub, in Gandy Street, became abusive. He was later set upon by the same group in Fore Street, where he was repeatedly punched and kicked, sustaining facial injuries and required hospital treatment.

Anyone who witnessed the attacks, or has information, is urged to call police on 101, or email 101@dc.police.uk, quoting crime reference CR/097992/21.
