Police have appealed for witnesses following an assault on a teenage in Plymouth last week.
The assault happened at around 5pm on Tuesday 19 April by The co-operative pharmacy on Old Laira Road, Laira.
The victim, 16 year old boy from Plymouth, was punched to the back of the head several times by two youths, knocking him to the floor.
He needed medical treatment for a facial injury as a result of the attack.
PC David Wedgebrow, from the Local Investigation Team at Charles Cross police station, said: “Two unknown females came to the victim’s aid and scared the offenders away.
“We are keen to speak to them, as well as anyone else who witnessed the incident or has any information that could assist with the investigation.”
