Police have appealed to the public to witnesses and dash cam footage following a fatal collision in Torquay yesterday, Thursday 9 January.
Emergency services were called to Marks & Spencer car park at The Willows to reports of a collision between an elderly pedestrian and a red Citroen C3.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 80s, from Bovey Tracey, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital. Sadly, the woman died later the same evening in hospital.
The male driver from Paignton was not injured.
A section of the car park was cordoned off whilst investigations took place.
