Police have appealed for witnessed following an accident last night (8th December) that left a man with serious injuries.
One vehicle, a black Triumph R675cc motor cycle was involved in the accident on the A380 at 6pm.
Police have said that it appears that the motorcyclist travelling towards Exeter collided with the central barrier and came to rest in lane two on its offside. The accident occurred just past the permanent static speed camera location between the Ashcombe Cross and Great Haldon junction.
The rider, a 63 year old local man suffered numerous serious fracture injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital.
The road was closed for three hours whilst scene investigation was undertaken.
Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses and ask that if anyone either witnessed the collision or saw the motor cycle prior to the collision who has not yet been spoken to please contact police on 101 quoting police incident number 0611 081215.
