Police have appealed for witnesses following a violent assault that left a 23-year-old man with a suspected fractured jaw.                      

The incident took place in Venue Nightclub, Torquay between 1.30-2am on Saturday 6thAugust.

Investigating Officer, Detective Constable Terry Maidens, said: “We are investigating an alleged assault that took place in the nightclub. The altercation took place on the dance floor of the Venue nightclub and we believe that there were a number of witnesses.

“The victim ended up in hospital and required surgery, such was the viciousness of the attack. If you were at Venue on the 6th of August and witnessed the assault on the dance floor then we would like to speak to you, as you could hold information vital to our investigation.”
